Devotion by Julie Nash for Guatemala team Recently a young married couple shared their testimony about how the Lord is calling them to the mission field. They are going to a Muslim country in North Africa that is very dangerous. They are working with a missionary who’s husband was martyred there several years ago. When someone asked how long they planned to stay, they were quick to answer, “for life, it’s our calling.” I was instantly struck by the power of those words. It’s our calling. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is everyone’s calling that wants to be a true follower. Philippians 1:27 states: “Just one thing, live your life in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or am absent, I will hear about you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind, working side by side for the faith that comes from the gospel.” We will be working side by side this week.
