Have you prayed for your husband today?

Do you believe prayer makes a difference?  If so, are you praying for the most important man in your life? Below is a prayer that I have written in the front of my Bible… Lord, please bring favor on Mike today.  Please do in his life what he can not do on his own.  Father, I ask you in Jesus name to give Mike an incredible relationship with each of our boys. Please help him to excel at everything he sets his hands to today.  Make him a man that follows hard after you and serves you in all places at all times.  Please give him wisdom to discern all things in his work. May he be favored at work – as a dad- and as a coach.  Father, in Jesus name I ask you to increase his influence.    I love my husband – and thank you for him.  In Jesus Name, Amen Matthew 21:22 “Whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.” Before you make your coffee in the morning, consider asking …

Flat or Fizz

Pop!  Fizz!  Bubbles…. There is nothing quite as refreshing as a bottle of Coca Cola.  My son loves the original small bottle… these days I’ve gone to Coke Zero.  Refreshing all the same.  And, there is nothing that compares to the disappointment of a big gulp of flat Coke…. Christians can be like a bottle of pop.  Fresh… invigorating…a welcome treat.  We can also be like the flat coke that doesn’t satisfy and leaves a bad aftertaste. II Thes. 2:17 “May Jesus himself and God our Father, who reached out in love and surprised you with gifts of unending help and confidence, put a fresh heart in you, invigorate your work, enliven your speech.” (The Message). What if all the Christ-followers you encountered today had “Fresh Fizz.”  What if they weren’t relying on last week’s devotion or Sunday’s sermon to enliven their speech?
