Man of Steel

We started our Father’s Day Celebration for Mike by going to see Man of Steel.

A young boy learns that he has extraordinary powers and is not of this Earth. As a young man, he journeys to discover where he came from and what he was sent here to do. But the hero in him must emerge if he is to save the world from annihilation and become the symbol of hope for all mankind.” — (C) Warner Bros

Webster’s dictionary describes the character quality of “steel” as the trait of someone … “filled with resolution or determination.”

On our way to the movie, I couldn’t help but think of the “Man of Steel” in our own home.  Mike will forever be a hero in my eyes for the decisions he has made and the resolute determination he has shown in protecting, providing, and leading our family.  The “symbol of hope” he has passed down are four sons who have also become men with that same determination in their lives.

Happy Father’s Day to all the “Men of Steel”who are heroes to their families!
