What to do with all the Christmas cards?

We enjoy getting the updates and photos of special families in our lives over the holidays – but only so many will fit on a refrigerator.

Finally!  A great way to keep Christmas cards! 

I saw a blog post by my friend, Julie Stewart, and I had to share!  Faced with the dilemma of what to do with her treasured cards,  Julie posted on her blog:

Instead of putting the cards away, I decided to make a prayer book out of them. I went to the local craft store and purchased a binding ring. I then punched holes in the corner of each card, made a cover with the year on it and bound them all together.

Last week, I headed to Walmart and purchased a hole punch and a binding ring.  Each day I have added my Christmas cards to the ring.  Tonight we had a group of leaders over for a Christmas party.  My friend asked me if I got a new refrigerator.  I said “No… I just took all the cards off the front and sides.”

It has been so much fun enjoying our ring of cards in the family room this month.  And, when the holidays are over, I’ll continue to flip through the cards and pray for each family.
