Gifts Money Can’t Buy: Peace

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” – Isaiah 9:6 “So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. 17 When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 18 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. 19 But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.” – Luke 2:16-19 Thank you, Father for sending your son – Jesus.   Thank you that He was willing to give His life save us from our sins. Gifts Money Can’t Buy: Freedom

This American Flag ornament reminds me of the courage of the brave men and women that serve our country.   It was given to me the Christmas after 911.  We celebrate Christmas in a free country – with so many privileges others across the world can only dream. Thank you to those who are serving. Thank you to the spouses that keep home running while their soldier is away.  You have given us a gift that money can’t buy and we are very grateful. Psalm 91:1-2 “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.  I will say of the LORD, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’” Father, thank you for the men and women who serve our country.  Please protect them and give them Your wisdom.  Thank you for this country.  We ask you to guide and direct those in authority.  Please bless and protect their families.
