10 Things Every Women’s Ministry Leader Needs to STOP Now!

Stop It!   Stop! Being shallow.  Your women want something meaningful.  Make disciples.   Stop! Having teas and other fluff.  Before you write me about how meaningful your Christmas tea is … take the time to evaluate your end goal.   Is it tradition?  Is it fun? OK – but don’t make it more than it is.  Again … before your write… I love you and let’s go to tea, just don’t call it what it’s not. Stop! Wasting time.  The most valuable thing your leaders and women will give you is their time. Have a meeting and know who needs to be there and why.  If you don’t know, don’t have the meeting.  Is it necessary to have everyone present or can you have a one-on-one and accomplish your goal. Stop! Keeping it Clean!  What?  Women have real life and real issues.  Women’s Ministry is up close and personal.  Discipleship is messy. Be willing to get into the weeds with your women. Stop! Doing the same thing.  I know, it’s easy and predictable.  But, it’s stale.  Just ask the women who aren’t coming anymore. Is your Familiar Greater than your Future? Stop! Keeping everyone …

What Happens When Women Say “Yes” to God

A must read for women who are yearning for more in their Christian walk.  This book has recharged my desire to be radical in my faith. I can see the adventure that awaits the woman ready to abandon all for Christ.  Do I want to know about God or really know Him? The answer comes in obedience. Obedience out of love -not duty. This summer, I had the privilege of attending the Proverbs 31 conference led by Lysa Tekereurst.  In the middle of an environment that could have been very competitive, there was unity and humility.  Lysa’s message on being remarkABLE women stirred my heart and prompted me to search out this book.  I wasn’t disappointed. “We all worship something.  We must choose whom – or what- we will worship.  Will it be the opinions of others, our fears, or even our own comfort?  Or will it be the One who created our souls to worship?  Whatever we worship, we will obey.
