Do you ever have something racing in your mind?
Earlier this week, I was awake almost all night with something on my heart. I opened a book my friend, Dawn Turner, gave me and my spirit began to settle. In the quiet of the night I was able to meet with the “God who will provide.”
On this night, I wasn’t needing physical provision – but wisdom. I needed God’s answers.
That’s when I read, “When you pray to Yahweh Yireh, you are praying to the God who sees the situation beforehand and is able to provide for your needs.” He already knows what is ahead.
I recorded in the journal…
Yahweh Yireh – You know this day’s conversations, emails, and situations. You are not surprised.
Lord God, Thank you that You will provide an answer.
You will guide my steps.
I’m looking to You.
I’m listening, Lord.
How has the Lord settled your mind lately?
This post is part of the True Vine Challenge that Cheryl and I are doing together. Take some time with us to reflect on abiding.
That word, settle? Yep. It’s one of the meanings of “Dwell.” Somehow, it’s all related to abide, isn’t it?
Ha! Cheryl – it HAD to be! Definitely a reoccurring theme!
This totally illustrates something a mentor told me the other day: The semi-circle (abiding) leads to the circle. Thanks!
Yes – the visual of the 3DM shapes really do help me process what God is teaching me. Thanks for your input!
