Gifts Money Can’t Buy: Peace

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. Gifts Money Can’t Buy: Heritage

I enjoy collecting little churches.   This ornament reminds me of my home church in Dixon’s Mill’s, Alabama.  Last Sunday I was able to attend the Christmas Cantata at Central Baptist Church and I loved hearing friends and family sing  “2000 Decembers ago.” I have so many wonderful memories from this church…Grandmama Cogle on the front left side … Aunt Jane and fabulous flannel graph stories  … missionaries from every where in the world … “Sword and the Switchblade” and  “A Thief in the Night” at New Year’s Eve services … Vacation Bible School… our wedding … Great memories – but my church and family left me with so much more than memories.  Webster’s defines heritage as “something transmitted by or acquired from a predecessor.”  As Christians – we can leave an eternal heritage.   Beginning with Christmas 2010 – leave someone you love a gift that money can’t buy- an eternal heritage.
